Staff 247 Ltd currently have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager for a leading manufacturing company based in the Blackwood area.

Purpose of the role is to manage the incoming goods and material control relative to Safety, Cost, People, Service & Quality, using individual and team knowledge and experience to improve our operation. Drive logistic operational performance improvement aligned to Continuous Improvement strategy and develop warehouse teams for an optimised warehouse service to plant teams, and internal customer service requirements. Manage labour and equipment budgets effectively with Finance teams and ensure that future logistic needs are planned effectively.

Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure compliance with Company Health and Safety Regulations in areas of responsibility
• Develop teams to ensure robust cover and succession plans are in place.
• Work with Logistics stakeholders to ensure resource planning is in line with budgetary requirements
• Operational point of contact for driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Work with and support the operational teams to implement change
• Providing evidence and feedback to measure the effectiveness of change
• Responsible for driving operational consistencies across the functions
• Work with key stakeholders in the creation, review and update of SOPs for the warehouse operations
• Review business processes and promote best practice across the department
• Identifying and creating KPI’s where required
• Evaluate agreed KPI’s – review operational and system performance on a frequent basis – Identifying & recommending improvement opportunities
• Other duties as assigned by the company to support the goals of the company.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience 
Business Knowledge: 
Good level of general education and ability to learn new concepts and principles. Professional qualification is desired
Knowledge and substantial previous experience in high-pressure Logistics environment
Good business acumen
Ability to demonstrate personal success in the achievement of challenging business targets

Salary: £30K= (depending on experience)
